Swim Stroke Correction

Fine tune your technique and learn new drills

Who is this for?
  • Swimmers wanting to fine tune their freestyle technique
  • Swimmers seeking bespoke drills to address their known or unknown technique issues
What are the prerequisites?
  • Swimmers must be able to swim 400m freestyle continuously in still water as this is not a learn to swim session.
What is the format?
  • One hour session for a maximum of two people
  • Sessions are currently delivered in the eastern suburbs of Sydney
  • A session will typically be structured as follows:
    • An explanation and video of correct technique will be provided at the beginning of the session. This is done by breaking the stroke into its Catch, Pull, Rotation and Recovery components and detailing the correct way to perform each component
    • Technique is then observed in order to identify any issues in the swimmer’s technique
    • Any issues with technique are then explained before a series of drills are prescribed to fix the problems by exaggerating correct technique in problem areas
    • These drills are practiced under supervision so they are performed correctly and thereby reinforce correct technique in the swimmer’s complete stroke
    • The session concludes with a summary of the areas of concern and confirmation of the plan to address them
What is the cost?
  • Costs vary depending on whether an athlete is completing a Domestique Fitness program and if pool lanes need to be hired
